Dear Prospective Member, Groom Lake is a dry lake bed, located in Nevada, inside the "TOP SECRET" military base, AREA 51. Groom Lake Yacht Club is the official "Yacht Club" of Area 51. It was inspired by the many people from all over the world who travel the Extraterrestrial Highway 375, in Nevada, looking for answers. We are a people club, committed to uniting our efforts to make "this" world a better place. We are going places and would love to have you aboard. Groom Lake Yacht Club will soon be included in the "Registry of American Yacht Clubs' which will enable you to use your GLYC membership at reciprocating Yacht Clubs throughout the U.S. We are based in Alamo, NV which is located about 25 miles from the restricted area at Area 51, and at the East entrance of the Extraterrestrial Highway. We invite all positive thinking spirits and imaginations to join us as we set forth on our journey into the unknown. The realization that it is not the destination that is important, but what you accomplish along the way that counts, is the energy that drives us. Many interesting and diversified beings are already members and we're hoping to add your input to the crew. GLYC memberships are $35.00 per person, per year. Your GLYC membership will include your choice of T-Shirt, or Tank-Top with the GLYC logo on back or for an additional $10.00 you may order the all white Jersey (Henley) with the GLYC logo ($45.00 plus shipping). Shirts are available in large (L), extra large (XL), or double extra large (XXL) (add $1.50 to the price for XXL). Please note your size and style you prefer on the application. A GLYC Burgee is also available for $15.00. The Burgee is a purple pennant shaped flag, bearing a silver ship,with our moto in white: "Our Lake Is Dry and Our Ships Fly." Your membership will enable you to participate in all club sponsored activities, tours, humanitarian efforts, and any exciting and fun events that our memebership dictates. You will have buying power through mail and phone order or over the Internet, where you will be able to purchase "Parallel Universe" products at a discount and any of the GLYC exclusive "members only" items.
